THE BAY ISLANDS, HONDURAS

The Bay Islands are located 30 miles off the north coast of Honduras in the Western Caribbean. The largest of the 3 Islands is Roatan. Just 33 miles long and less than 4 miles wide, Roatan is home to a diverse mix of native Afro-Caribbean Islanders, Spanish speaking Mainland Hondurans and a number of ex-pats from around the world. 

Roatan is home to the 2nd largest barrier reef in the world and is a prime destination for divers. West Bay Beach, on Roatan's western tip has been voted one of the top 10 beaches in the world by major publications. English is widely spoken and people here are friendly and eager to introduce you to the island way of life.
